BBC ALBA’s live coverage of the Guinness PRO12 league will see the last game of the year this Friday when Leinster travel to face Munster.
Coverage of the match from Thomond Park will begin Friday at 4.55pm, with the match starting at 5.00pm. Gaelic commentary will be provided by Hugh Dan MacLennan and Scotland 7s Colin Gregor. English commentary from Paul Mitchell and John Beattie will also be available using the red button.
Munster acknowledges it will take a huge performance to see off Leinster in this Friday’s clash; despite their 34-23 triumph over their rivals in October. Munster have dropped with three straight defeats in all tournaments but have not lost four in a row since the end of 2009/10 season.
The match will see the Munster’s aiming for a season’s double over Leinster in the PRO12 for the first time since 2008/09. Leinster have won four of their previous seven visits to Munster but know they will have to bring their best game on Friday as their most recent defeat to Munster in the tournament.
However the team will be boosted by their more recent performances; Leinster’s only defeat in their last nine fixtures was 18-24 at Harlequins in the European Champions Cup on 7th December.
As well as the live action, we look back at the highlight of Scottish schools rugby, the Brewin Dolphin Cup finals night at Murrayfield.
