Stornoway Running and Athletics Club’s (SRAC) Chairman Tony Robson marked his 65th birthday recently by taking part in the world’s largest marathon.

Instead of putting his feet up with a spot of relaxation, Tony pounded the pavements of New York City with 50,000 other runners in the TCS NYC Marathon.

In unseasonably cold and windy conditions, the course starting on Staten Island and passing through all five boroughs of the city, was a challenge but one Tony thoroughly enjoyed. He crossed the line in six hours 20 minutes.
