Last Saturday the Stornoway u15 boys travelled to their second away game of the season to Invergordon to take on Ross Sutherland with only 15 players and two carrying injuries.

This game was always going to be close game as the record of the season was equally matched with two losses each. The game started off quickly with Ross scoring a try early with Stornoway replying in quick succession. This was to be the story of the game with neither team managing to keep control of the game with the Stornoway forwards getting the upper hand in the tight exchanges and Ross Sutherland gaining the upper hand in the loose.

With 10 minutes to go Stornoway took the lead at 32-29 with a well worked try finished off by Calum Macleod who scored two on the day. However, on the next attack Ross Sutherland scored a good try in the corner only for the referee to disallow the score due to violent conduct. The Stornoway boys managed to hold on for the last couple of minutes and gain their third win of the season.
