Kerry MacPhee is the new British Mountain Bike Marathon champion.

The South Uist athlete, who became the first from the Western Isles to represent Scotland at the Commonwealth Games, pedalled to glory over a gruelling 75KM course in around four and a half hours.

Also taking part in the race was her sister Kirsty who took first place in the 50KM event.

See this week’s Stornoway Gazette for the details and interview with the super siblings.
