Camanachd Leòdhais edged their North Division Three clash against Inverness 2-1 to set themselves up nicely for an intriguing cup match this Saturday.
After the previous week’s inclemency, the dry and cloudy conditions were a nice change. With the sun beginning to come out, the match threw up with a mighty whack as Scott Murray’s caman sent the ball flying through the Shawbost sky.
Inverness had an early rally, but Lewis soon were keeping the ball in the mainland half at the moor end. The recent wet weather meant the park had not been cut so close, and there was a thick covering of daisies which gave the surface an almost snow-covered appearance.
