A LEWIS and Harris Football Club has now been set up by association chiefs ahead of their planned application to enter a team in next season’s North Caledonia Cup.
Speaking to the Gazette this week Lewis and Harris FA Chairman Kenny Maciver confirmed the creation of the new club has been completed after setting up a new constitution.
It is just one of a handful of legal obligations the association have to do to complete the formalities ahead of their planned venture in competitive mainland football for the first time.
“We have been busy putting everything together for our application for the North Caledonia Cup and now like Orkney did, we have created a Lewis and Harris Football Club,” explained Maciver.
