RENOWNED Gaelic singer, Lewis lad Norrie MacIver, is set to lead the singing of the Scotland team anthem – Flower of Scotland – at this weekend’s Marine Harvest Shinty/Hurling International.

More than just a game, the Shinty/Hurling International recognises the historic sporting and cultural links between Scotland and Ireland and there will also be performances from the young stars of Feis Rois.

But the top-class sporting action will be the main draw for spectators as the match is the deciding game in the two-test series played between Scotland’s top shinty players and Ireland’s top hurlers.

And having lost the Away test last weekend in Athy, Co Kildare, Scotland are going all out for a win this weekend to clinch the series and lift the Marine Harvest Quaich.
