Having seen off Extreme darts team in the semi-final the Sea Angling B, were going for their second cup competition triumph of the season, but would have to overcome an on form Clachan side that had beaten Ness to get to the final.
The Clachan started well with Aaron (139, 100x2) beating Murdo (140, 137, 100x5) 3-0 including a 115 checkout in the first leg and an 80 checkout in the third leg.
Alex (140x3, 100x3) then beat Sean (100) by the same margin to level the match at 1-1. The Clachan won the next two games as Babz (180, 140, 100x4) beat Stephen (140, 100x6) 3-2 having been 2-0 down and Geordie (100) beat Jamie (140, 100x4) 3-1.
This put the Clachan into a commanding position with a 3-1 lead and needing just two more games to clinch the cup.
The Sea Angling B have already won a cup this season though and would not be giving up without a fight. In the last single match Finlay (100x2) got the anglers team back on track beating Don (100) 3-0.
Moving into the triple and Alex (100), Murdo and Stephen made the match all square at 3-3 as they beat Aaron, Babz (100) and Geordie.
This set the match up nicely for the doubles and would see the final go all the way. Having been 3-1 down the Sea Angling B put themselves in front for the first time with Alex and Murdo beating Aaron (100) and Geordie (100) in the first double.
The final double would give Don the chance to gain some revenge over Finlay after losing in the singles but it was not to be as Finlay partnered by Jamie (100) beat the pairing of Babz (140) and Don (134) to clinch the match 5-3.
This sets it up nicely as we move into the second half of the league with teams looking to put pressure on league leaders the Sea Angling A.
