Stornoway Rugby teens win Caley Cup clash

Stornoway Rugby Club’s terrific teens claimed another scalp this week with an excellent, and thorougly deserved, 37-15 win over Caithness.

The under 18 starlets sparkled on the neutral soil of Invergordon last Saturday and by the half-time break they were already 15-5 to the good.

Despite a momentary rally from Caithness the result of the tie was never really in doubt with Stornoway well on top.

Star turn on the day was Stornoway’s inside centre Jeff Macdonald who powered through for four tries.

The other tries were registered by Paul Afrin, Sandy McNeil and James Morrison.

The under 18s next match is against Ross-Sutherland in the Caley cup next week.
