Scottish Junior Champion and Western Isles squad Island Games swim star Kara Hanlon started Stornoway Rotary Club’s first ever Swimarathon on Saturday, February 22nd.
Teams which took part included Stornoway Port Authority, the Comhairle councillors, United Football team, island swim clubs and the St Kilda Swimmers.
The Rotary Club of Stornoway’s Swimarathon 2014 was hailed a huge success with over 100 swimmers completing over 4,000 lengths within the three hour event.
