Welfare Cup update

THE RANGERS Club, the Caber and Tolsta have joined Hotel Hebrides in booking their spots in the latter stages of the Welfare League Cup this week.

League leading Gers recovered from falling 2-0 behind to edge past 10-man Lewis Rovers in their clash while the Caber made short work of the Butchers with a 5-0 win in Lochs.

But Tolsta needed penalty kicks to see off the ever improving Stornoway after a 3-3 draw in regulation time and 30-minutes of extra time failed to separate them.

The quartet join Albion and Island United as the last remaining six clubs, each with an eye on the silverware.
