Western Isles athletes are all set for the start of the Natwest International Island Games on July 13th.

This week representatives of Breedon Aggregates, Alan MacKenzie (Chief Executive Scotland) and Angus MacLeod (Regional Director Scotland) handed over the official  Bermuda 2013 kit to the Western Isles Island Games Association.

Pictured are swimmer Kara Hanlon (Scottish Junior 50&100m Breast Stroke Champion) and cyclist John Neil Mitchell (Olympic torch carrier and former British Quad racing Champion) proudly wearing the Colin Campbell Sports supplied clothing.

On behalf of the squad, General Team manager Iain G.G. Campbell thanked Breedons for their continued support of the Western Isles’ participation at the bi-annual NatWest International Island Games.

Each member of the squad will receive a travel bag complete with tracksuit and sports gear, emblazoned with the Association and sponsors’ logo, prior to departure.

Several of the team, based either in the Southern Isles or on the mainland, were unable to attend the presentation, but will meet with the rest of the squad at Gatwick airport on the 10th of July prior to flying across the Atlantic.
