100th birthday celebration
Pictured is the Lord Lieutenant of the Western Isles, Sandy Matheson, presenting the Queen's birthday message to Ishbel Smith, 40 Callanish, on the occasion of her 100th Birthday on Tuesday 19th January 2016.
Born in Crulivig, Ishbel spent most of her chldhood in Linshader before moving to Callanish in 1954 after her marriage.
She spent the day celebrating with family and close friends and the community organised a birthday afternoon tea in Breasclete hall on Wednesday which was well attended.
