The exhibition will close the Harris Tweed Festival which has been running throughout the summer at An Lanntair and has been a key event as part of the Year of Innovation Architecture and Design.

As a metaphor for this ‘remodelling’ and repositioning, Am Beairt will be a commissioned piece of kinetic art created by the former Russian company Sharmanka who will reinvent and reconfigure a genuine Harris Tweed Hattersley loom into a new machine that tells the narrative of the Industry.

Powered by – and created from a loom – told and embellished through the unique vocabulary and vision of Eduard Bersudsky.
