Battle of the Somme service

The service at the TA Drill Hall on Church Street, Stornoway to commemorate the battle of the Somme 100 years on was hailed as a huge success, with almost 70 people in attendance.

Pictured are some of the scenes from the night taken by Lewis MacDonald of the Army Cadet Force.

At 7 SCOTS there are further plans to remember other tragic events of the 1914-18 war and readers will be updated when these are due.
