Blackhouse talk at Community Centre

A talk at by Dr Iain Roberson at the Community Centre, Leurbost will explore the hidden history and heritage of croft land and its associated black houses.

Dr Roberston using material gathered in Lochs and North Harris will explore the relationship between a sense of inheritance from the past and local identity.

The talk with Dr Roberston a Reader for the Centre for History at UHI begins at 7.30pm on Tuesday, September 27th.

Shore Clean up - there will be a shore clean up at Crossbost on Saturday 1st October. Volunteers will be gathering plastics for re-cycling.

This event is supported by Zero Waste Western Isles. If you are interested in supporting the shore clean up come along to the Lochs Free Church carpark anytime from 9am on Saturday.

There will be an informal music night at the Community Centre in Leurbost later that evening from 6pm. Local musicians are cordially invited to take part.
