Charity climbers

Stornoway boys David Davidson, 19, and William Broe, 20, reached new heights in their bid to raise charity cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The lads climbed Mont Blanc in the Alps, which is Europe’s highest peak, in early July.

Both boys are keen climbers but admitted with a smile the climb was far from easy with David joking it was’agonising at times’ but as William added: “It was amazing though and well worth it.”
