Comedian Craig Hill set for gig at '˜fabulous' Stornoway venue

Entitled “Playing With My Selfie” the tour sees Craig playing to an audience at what is clearly one of his favourite venues and he was gushing in his praise.

He said: “Your venue - it’s fabulous! And the audience. I’m so chuffed for the people of Stornoway to have such a brilliant venue on your doorstep because it encourages performers to come and play there.

“All performers want is a great venue and a great crowd and Stornoway has both.” 

Craig Hill has enjoyed a career involving frequent television performances, including his own show on BBC 1, Craig Hill’s Out Tonight. He has also dabbled in radio broadcasting through BBC Radio Scotland series Craig Hill’s Passionate Encounters.

However, it is his stand up performances that have gained the greatest acclaim with fourteen successive years at the Edinburgh fringe showing his commitment. Hill has also experienced success in Australia appearing on comedy panel show Good News Week and also by hosting Sydney Comedy Festival’s prestigious Cracker Night gala The show involves, in Hill’s words, “Me dancing like a whirling dervish in my kilt storming on to the stage and having lots of fun and nonsense interacting with the audience as well as sharing stories from my travels, things that make me laugh and singing my heart out!” 

Coming off the back of 2014’s outstanding, sold out tour and Fringe season, audience members can expect, “An experience they won’t forget! A lot of one-off fun things happen when you leave your show open to improvisation with the audience and those always make the show more memorable and create those ‘you had to be there’ moments!”

Craig Hill has performed at venues all over the world, with his unique style always allowing him to connect with crowds providing many great laughs.

In February he will be performing in Livingston and Inverness with further plans to return to Australia on tour.
