Feis Eilean na Hearadh get their hands on their FilmG trophy

Although the team from Feis Eilean na Hearadh won the prize for Best Film at last year's FilmG Gaelic Short Film competition, it was only this week that they got their hands on the trophy!

Due to an unfortunate set of circumstances the young film-makers were unable to accept their award in person at last year’s prize-giving.

MG ALBA was therefore delighted to organise an event at Sir E Scott School in order for the team to accept the award in person and for the film to be screened in the local community.

The event was also attended by senior pupils, parents, teachers and representatives of Feis Eilean na Hearadh.

Earlier last week, the 2016/17 FilmG competition, the ninth, was launched in Edinburgh with the theme of Strì/Endeavour and new categories including Best Sports Commentary.
