Festive fun run mix up
This year's Christmas Lights switching on ceremony will take place this Friday, December 9th from 6.30pm to 9pm in Stornoway's civic square. This will be preceded at 6.20pm by the '˜Christmas Dash' and '˜Character Fun Run' from Lazy Corner on the Pier out to the Spar Roundabout and back with adult and kids' prizes for First to Finish and Best Dressed.
Unfortunately in last week’s Gazette the ‘Christmas Dash’ and the annual ‘Santa Run’ (pictured above) got into a festive tangle.
The ‘Santa Run’ is a separate event from the ‘Christmas Dash’ and it will take place on December 24th from 10.30am, with runners following a route from the Town Hall, through the town centre and up to the Lewis Sports Centre running track.
