Kevin Smith, An Lanntair cinema programmer, said: “We’re opening again and giving everyone the opportunity to see the major award-winning films we couldn’t show before the lockdown.

“Of course, with the introduction of cinema’s re-opening, certain procedures have had to be instigated to ensure a safe environment for everyone coming into our auditorium.”

As such, An Lanntair would prefer that customers use the online booking system when purchasing cinema tickets, which has safeguards in place to enable social-distanced seat selection.

An Lanntair is following Scottish Government guidelines for its cinema bookings.

When booking, you will need to provide your contact details for Test and Protect; and cinema stewards will not ask you for a physical ticket for entry, instead they will ask for names and order numbers.

Between cinema screenings, An Lanntair’s auditorium will be cleaned and disinfected thoroughly with an antibacterial-fogger used to sterilise all seats and contact areas.

An Lanntair also asks cinema-goers to observe two-metre distancing; wear facemasks at all times, unless eating/drinking, under-5, or medically unable to do so; and that no outside food or drink be brought into the building.

Cinema snacks and drinks will be available to purchase from the ground floor shop, and coffees and pre-screening meals from the Café Bar on the first floor.

Cinema entrance remains the same, through the first-floor auditorium doors.
