Fond memories rekindled and friendships renewed at 60th Reunion

Recently 87 stalwarts travelled from Manor Park to Singapore to attend the 60th Reunion of the Nicolson Institute Class of 68 - 74 in Stornoway Golf Club.

The weekend started with registration and group pictures before the group sat down to a first class meal.

After dinner the group were entertained to a brilliant speech from guest for the evening Mr George Moody, who reminded us that he also arrived in the Nicolson in 1968 and how the class of 68 to 74 had a big influence on him for the rest of his teaching career.

On Saturday there was a trip organised around the new school building with lots of laughter and yarns being shared.

The weekend was concluded with a buffet and dance and a special evening was had by all who attended.

A donation of £300 each was given to the local Men’s Cancer Support Group and the Lewis and Harris Women’s Cancer Support Group from a collection held over the weekend.
