Getting Ruaridh Fit for Santa's Sleigh!
NHS Western Isles recently received a visit from Ruaridh the Reindeer, as part of his travels around Scotland raising money for the British Heart Foundation and Diabetes UK with Tesco.
Staff from the Western Isles Cardiac Rehabilitation Team and Western Isles Hospital’s Day Surgery provided Ruaridh with a variety of health checks to ensure he was fit for Santa’s sleigh.
Ruaridh received an Echo Cardiogram, an Exercise Tolerance Test, Flu Immunisation, Listening to Heart Sounds and an Oxygen Saturation Level Check.

Hide AdAfter being provided with a glowing health report by hospital staff, Ruaridh set out on his mainland travels to raise further funds for charity.
