Literary tent back at Loopallu

Ullapool Book Festival, whose 12th festival has just taken place, will be back at this year's Loopallu (Ullapool's music festival being held 30 September -1 October) with its Literally Literary tent.

They are delighted to announce their first guests for the tent.

Miles Hunt, singer with The Wonder Stuff, will discuss his latest book with the broadcaster, musician and writer Mark Radcliffe.

The band is on the bill at Loopallu so when Miles Hunt’s management offered Ullapool Book Festival the opportunity of having him in the literary tent they jumped at the chance.

Miles Hunt will have just released his second book ‘The Wonder Stuff Diaries ‘90-’93’. His first book ‘The Wonder Stuff Diaries ‘86 - ‘89’, released last year, has been heralded as setting a new bar for music biographies.

The book festival’s Literally Literary tent started at Loopallu in 2014. Previous guests include Christopher Brookmyre, Louise Welsh, King Creosote, Vic Galloway, Kevin MacNeil, Alan Bissett, Doug Johnstone and Mairi Hedderwick.

The book festival will be announcing further guest writers over the next couple of months.
