Pupils in the school will be participating in a range of activities to highlight awareness and inclusion of children with autism.

The P4 and P5 class have been working on a film, ‘Ways we’re the same, way’s we’re different’ to be shown at a school assembly.

In addition, the pupils have invited Educational Psychologist, Shannon Finlayson, to join the P6 and P7 class, along with parents, to have a question and answer session.

The pupils will also be fundraising for the National Autistic Society by hosting a Onesie Wednesday and also contributing to Make a Difference for Downs.

Feonna feels that pupils at the school are always encouraged to be inclusive and accepting of each other and work hard to ensure classmates can participate fully in school life regardless of any additional support that may be required.

Teachers at the school have also received additional training to ensure they can be as effective as possible in supporting children with autism to have a fulfilling and positive experience at school.
