The New Madrids return to Stornoway
The New Madrids are a band with American roots and soul are at their heart supplemented with a hety slice of rock n roll and blues on the side.
This Perthshire hailing five-piece includes vocalists Donny McElligott and Ian Hutchison, drummer Maurice ‘Mo’ McPherson, Owen ‘Scaryophonic’ Nicholson on strings and Callum Keith, bass player extraordinaire.
The band pulled in an appreciative crowd the last time they played Stornoway in November and now they are making a return to the Islands with a gig taking place at the town’s Golf Club venue in Bayhead this Saturday, March 12th.
Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets priced at £10 are available on the door, or from W.J Macdonald butchers on Francis Street.
