Popular Carnival Midsummer Charity Ball

The first Lewis Carnival Midsummer Ball took place on Friday evening (June 10th) against the backdrop of Stornoway town hall.

A large crowd of supporters attended the event which was aimed at raising money for local charities including: Autism Eileanan Siar, Hebridean Men’s Cancer Support Group, Lewis and Harris Women’s Cancer Support Group and The Gambia Partnership.

Those attending enjoyed a three course meal with entertainment provided by Catch 22 and The Dun Ringles.

The event also determined a brand new Carnival King and Queen, the aim of the competition was to highlight those in the community who have done something that deserves recognition.

The winners announced during the evening were Charlie Nicolson and Carol Morrison Maclean.
