Sports Coaching Conference event

An extravaganza of sporting coaching is set to take place in Stornoway next month, hosted by the Lewis and Harris Sports Council.

The Sports Coaching Conference has been organised in conjunction with Sport & Health and supported by Caladh Inn and Sign Print.

The event is to be held on Saturday October 8, and is open to all island coaches and volunteers.

Details of the conference and the plan for the event are as follows (booking forms will be available from this Friday 23rd September):

Registration 9.15 – 9.30am at the Caladh Inn, Introduction about the day 9.30-9.40am then it is off to your selected workshop

Lunch will be in the Caladh Inn from 12.15 – 1.15pm

On the programme is local talented Ironwoman Christina Mackenzie, who will be delivering a talk about her training and how she got into Ironwoman and triathlon.

Sportscotland Project Manager Andy Kelly will also be hosting a funding workshop.

This is a great opportunity for all local clubs to find out more about the funding opportunities that are available to them.
