Throwing their hat into the battle to win the Western Isles seat at Holyrood are the Scottish Christian Party ‘Proclaiming Christ’s Lordship’.

Last time out in 2011 the party fielded a Regional ‘List’ candidate and polled 842 votes, but this time around their candidate, businessman John Cormack, is looking to persuade local voters to elect him as MSP for the Western Isles specifically, see our interview with him on page 3.

Top Irish rock band The Saw Doctors will be heading back to the Western Isles in October to play the An Lanntair arts centre, Stornoway, find out more details in our article on page 7.
