There is some great news for tourism on the island with the announcement that the new walking and cycling route the Hebridean Way will be officially opened in March.

A proud Island family who had petitioned for their relative, the late Murdo Macleod, to receive an Arctic Star Medal in recognition of his war service had run up gainst a brick wall as the MoD couldn’t find the relevant records.
