Video - Choirs in harmony at the end of this year's Mòd

The final curtain came down on this year's Royal National Mòd this afternoon (Saturday) with the choir march through the heart of Stornoway town and up to the Nicolson Institute for a mass performance.

At the end of this year’s festival it was announced that Inverness will host the Mòd in 2020.

Talking about this year’s event John Morrison, Chief Executive of An Comunn Gàidhealach said: “We can’t thank the Western Isles and the local organising committee enough for their hospitality.

“The level of competition across all age groups has been outstanding and I’m sure we’ll be seeing many familiar faces in Lochaber next year.

“It gives us great pleasure to finally be announcing a return to Inverness for 2020’s festival.”
