Winner of this year's PM Donald MacLeod Memorial Competition

The world's best pipers gathered at the Caladh Hotel, Stornoway on April 8th to take part in the PM Donald MacLeod Memorial Competition.

Pipe Major Donald MacLeod was arguably one of the most famous pipers of the 20th century.

This year’s winner was Stuart Liddell, he is pictured receiving his trophy from the daughter of the late Donald MacLeod, Fiona MacLeod.
