One hundred per cent of the profits made from the calendar sales are being donated to three island care homes -Trianaid, Isle of North Uist, Sacred Heart House, Isle of South Uist and St Brendan’s, on the Isle of Barra.

Rory MacGillvary said: “We wanted to find a way to support our local community during difficult times. The calendar idea gave us the opportunity to do this and with the help of local photographers we have managed to capture the beauty of our islands.

“Every penny that is made from these calendars will go straight to our local care homes. We are delighted with the final product and pleased to be able to support our own local care homes.”

Service Manager for Residential Services with CNES, Ella Macbain, said: “Hebrides by MacGillvary’s’ have supported the local care homes over many years and we appreciate such innovative ways to not only promote our islands, with the lovely photographs producing a fantastic gift idea for Christmas as well as at the same time fundraising for Trianaid, Sacred Heart House and St Brendans Care Homes.

“On behalf of the Uist and Barra care homes we want to thank ‘Hebrides by MacGillvary’s’ and all the local photographers for this very kind gesture - it’s hugely appreciated.”
