Business born in the Western Isles continues to grow

Gael Force is continuing to grow as it seeks to recruit key personnel to help drive the business forward.

Aquaculture equipment, technology, and service supply partner, Gael Force Group, has launched a recruitment drive following the creation of new, highly skilled senior engineering and support roles at the company.

Candidates are currently being sought to fill the positions of service and support manager, senior product engineer, senior project engineer and project manager. The roles will be based at the company’s head office in Inverness.

In July, Gael Force launcheda new five-year strategy aimed at growing into a world class supplier which, if successfully delivered, will lead to the doubling of sales and workforce.

Earlier this month in Canada, Gael Force kicked off their recruitment drive by welcoming Mike Staite to its team, appointing him to the position of general manager of its operations on both the east and west coasts of the country.

Gael Force was founded by Stewart Graham in 1983 in Stornoway.

Mr Graham started the business as a creel manufacturer, servicing the local fishing industry before relocating distribution to Inverness in 1990. The company continues to manufacture fishing creels in Stornoway.

Today, the business employs around 250 people across Scotland, England and Canada, and is largely focused on aquaculture equipment, technology and services, but is also involved in commercial and leisure marine markets.
