Love is in the air at Stornoway Town Hall thanks to the Western Isles Lottery.

Stornoway Town Hall will light up red this weekend in celebration of Valentine’s Day this Sunday, February 14.

Janet Paterson of Western Isles Lottery said, “This is the second event of the planned annual programme of illuminations to celebrate a variety of occasions throughout 2021. We all need some love in our lives, especially at this time, and we’re commissioned ACE Electrical Services to help us try and spread some”.

In the meantime, The Lottery Team continues to bring a smile to three winners’ homes every Saturday night at 8pm.

Despite the difficult circumstances of the last year, the successful local Lottery continues to grow with over 3000 tickets now being purchased each week. This has resulted in an ongoing increase in the weekly prize pot with one lucky winner receiving £1,000 each month. Three winners each week share the weekly Prize pot.

Over £102,000 has now been shared in Prize Winnings with over £207,000 having been raised for Community Projects across the Western Isles. Substantial funding awards will be made across all Communities in the forthcoming weeks.
