In the last series (currently airing on BBC2, Wednesdays 8pm) they had no island farmers in the show, and are looking to rectify that.

A spokeswoman said: “We’d really like to put that right this new series, to represent the island way of life and farming/crofting. I know a lot of farmers in your readership are also fans of This Farming Life.”

The the search for farming families to appear on the new season of the show is beginning.

The BBC are asking island farming families to get in touch if they are interested in getting involved.
