The programme, which has been designed in collaboration with partner agencies, is an opportunity for engagement for everyone in the family setting, from nursery children to adults.

Well-known local artist, Iain “Spanish” Mackay, will present a live set of songs from around 9pm on the Comhairle’s Facebook page.

The Comhairle hopes to have Iain and other local artists taking up this slot each week and would ask that anyone who is interested to contact the Comhairle page via Facebook Messenger.

Iain said: “I’m hoping the live stream on Friday will keep everyone’s spirits up with a wee laugh and with a few songs.”

You can find out more about Iain’s music at www.facebook.com/iainspanish.

Each week, the Comhairle will share an episode of the well-known Gaelic cookery programme Fuine, on Tuesday evenings at 6pm from the MG Alba website.

You can give the recipes a go at home and if you send photos of your finished products as a private message the council will share some of its favourites.

The programmes will be in Gaelic, but there are English subtitles available.

The Comhairle’s Multi Media Unit has been working to produce some designs to keep all nursery aged children entertained at home.

New designs will appear on the Comhairle’s social media channels every Tuesday morning at 9.30am, which can be printed off or coloured in digitally.

Post your photos in the comments section or send them as a private message and the council will share its favourites.

A live quiz, featuring a special quest quizmaster, will take place on the Comhairle’s Facebook page each Thursday evening at 7:30pm.

Questions will be suitable for all the family to take part.

There will be two yoga classes available each week, one morning session and an evening session that will also include a relaxation session.

The classes will be taught by yoga instructor Sophie Marsh who lived and taught in the Western Isles for 10 years.

The classes will go live on Facebook each week on Mondays at 9.30am and Wednesdays at 4.30pm.

Visit www.riseupwild.com/yoga-classes for more information on the classes.
