The rollout of the vaccine in the Western Isles is well underway, with those whose lives are most at risk being prioritised in the first phase.

Vaccinations have been delivered in older adult care homes, and across NHS frontline staff. The programme is continuing for those aged over 80, and if you have not yet been vaccinated call 0808 196 8383. Those aged over 80 who are housebound are being contacted individually.

For those aged over 75, NHS Western Isles will start contacting individuals within that priority group shortly. Please do not contact the NHS for an appointment.

Everyone eligible should consider taking the COVID vaccine, which is the best chance of bringing the current pandemic to an end.

If you have been given an appointment and are unable to attend, or would like to change your appointment, Please let the NHSWI know as soon as possible in order that your appointment can be offered to someone else, and the risk of vaccine wastage can be minimised. Call: 0808 196 8383.
