Covid champ William starts the ball rolling
The campaign, called COVID Champions, is made up of a series of posters featuring staff and patients from throughout the Outer Hebrides who have already received their vaccination.
Whilst each individual has their own unique reason for receiving the vaccine, every person featured is encouraging their friends, family and colleagues not to hesitate when invited NHS Western Isles to attend their vaccinationappointment.

“This is no small feat and I would like to thank everybody who has already attended a vaccination clinic.
“By having the vaccine, you are not only giving yourself a level of protection but are also taking an important step towards safeguarding our population and bringing this pandemic to an end as quickly as possible.”
The NHS Western Isles campaign will feature a different COVID Champion each day on their social media platforms.
Kickstarting the campaign today is Mr. William Banford, who was the first resident over 80 to receive the COVID vaccine.
