NHS Western Isles became aware last week that some letters issued nationally may have included incorrect information, relating to an individuals appointment date.

A spokesman for the NHS Western Isles commented: “We apologise sincerely for the confusion caused by this error, and would strongly encourage those who receive their letters to contact the local Influenza Appointment Booking service on 01851 763304 to book an appointment, at a venue near them, as soon as possible.

“Please note that phone lines are open Monday to Friday, from 9am until 5pm. If it is more convenient, drop a message via email with your contact number to: [email protected] and we will get back to you. Phone lines may be busy but please try calling back if you are unable to get through at the first try.

“The Community Nursing Team is also continuing to carry out vaccinations to those who are identified as housebound. If you are in this category and want to request a home visit, please contact our booking service, who will relay this to the Community Nursing Team.
