SANDWICK Community Council are pleased to announce the launch of the publication ‘Sandwickhill School 1880-2012’.

This 144-page book provides a written and pictorial history of the Lewis school with over 140 photographs from the early 20th century up until its closure this summer.

Many people have reserved copies and these can be collected or further copies purchased from Sandwick Community Council’s room at Sandwickhill School tomorrow, Wednesday, December 19th, between 6pm and 8pm; or from the staff of Tasglann nan Eilean Siar (Hebridean Archives) at Stornoway Library on Thursday December 20th between 5pm and 7pm.

The book is on sale for £10 and will make a great Christmas present for Sandwickhill alumni!
