The image above was taken by Gazette reader Sarah Turner from one of the rooms in her house. It shows the sunrise above an estuary next to the property.

Sarah was born in Brazil, and grew up in Aberdeen, the Lake District and Wales.

She told us: “During my adult life, I have lived in a variety of places within the UK, including London, Exeter, Durham, Cambridge and Edinburgh. I have also lived and worked in India, Holland and the United Arab Emirates.

“I now live in the Bays of Harris, with my husband and our family cat.

“I absolutely adore sunsets and being where I am now couldn’t be a better location for watching sunrises and sunsets, seeing wildlife, walking, trekking and diving (in relatively warm water). I also love meeting new dogs.”
