Beach on Isle of Harris is named one of the world’s best

Luskentyre has been ranked as one of the best beaches in the world.

Luskentyre Beach on the Isle of Harris has been named as one of the 25 best in the world.

The remote beach was ranked 13th best by the travel review website, TripAdvisor.

The largest and most spectacular of all the Harris beaches, Luskentyre came out ahead of the only other UK location of Woolacombe beach in Devon.

According to the poll, which was based on travellers’ TripAdvisor reviews and ratings, the top beach in the world is Baia do Sancho (Brazil).

In second place is Grace Bay Beach (Turk and Caicos), third is Playa Paraiso (Cuba), fourth Spiaggia dei Conigli (Sicily) and fifth Prainhas do Pontal do Atalaia (Brazil).
