One of Scotland’s most highly regarded singer-songwriters, Rab Noakes, will be performing next Monday evening (29th July) at Uig Community Centre in Lewis. Rab will be making an island detour prior to an appearance at the Ullapool Folk Festival the following day.
He has recorded 20 albums over a long career and was at one point a member of Stealer’s Wheel with Gerry Rafferty. Rab’s songs have been widely recorded by artists such as fellow-Fifer Barbara Dickson and Lindisfarne. He will be supported in the Lewis gig by local band The Sea Atlas who have a growing following on the island and will be coming straight from the Barra Live festival.
What promises to be a great evening of music kicks off at 8 pm and admission is £6 at the door.
