Snapshot of rural Europe

The LEADER Innse Gall Local Action Group (LAG) are co-ordinating the Outer Hebrides submissions to an exciting European photo competition which has been launched by the European Network for Rural Development (ENRD).

The ‘Images of Rural Europe’ initiative aims to promote and celebrate the beauty and diversity of Rural Europe by collecting photos covering a variety of rural development themes.

The competition will involve the collection of a diverse range of photos which reflect rural life in Europe today.

All photos will be considered for inclusion in a major EU ‘Travelling’ Exhibition and a hardcover glossy photo-book to be published later in the year.

The winning entries will also be displayed at a major exhibition at the European Commission Headquarters, the prestigious Berlaymont building, in Brussels.

There are six categories to enter, including: Rural Environment, Rural People, Rural Employment, Rural Diversity, Rural Youth and The Spirit of LEADER. Each entrant may submit, to the LEADER Innse Gall Local Action Group, as many photos to as many categories as they wish.

Competition entries need to be submitted by 5pm on May 11th.
