WHAT better way to start of your December party season than a concert with Scottish stalwart Dougie Maclean.
Dougie will be playing in An Lanntair arts centre on Friday night (December 1) – in a show the music man himself is highly anticipating.
He said: “I’m thrilled to be returning to An Lanntair for a concert. The Isle of Lewis is one of my favourite places on this earth and the land and our good friends there have been the inspiration for lost of my music!”
Worthy of the crown of Scotland’s finest singer-songwriter, Dougie is internationally renowned for his song ‘Caledonia’, music for the Oscar and Bafta award winning film ‘The Last of the Mohicans’.
He has been twice awarded the prestigious Tartan Cleff Awards for his talent and also been inducted into the Scottish Music Hall of Fame.
Dougie’s talent and enormous input into Scotland’s music scene was recognised earlier this year when he was awarded an OBE in Her Majesty the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list for services to music and charity.
