The Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) is thanking organisers of this year’s Uig Gala Day after another enjoyable and successful celebration.
SSC joined in the festivities on Saturday 6thJuly, donating two full salmon and 24 fillets for the community BBQ.
The Scottish Salmon Company was also involved in events around Reef beach, supporting Seatrek’s boat rides by providing a standby vessel as well as staff to assist on the temporary pontoon.
Scottish Salmon Company Communications Manager, Su Cox, said: “We would like to thank all involved in the event’s organisation for all their hard work in making sure the day was such a success and for inviting us to be a part of it.
“It’s always a pleasure to be able to support local events whichever way we can and particularly those that celebrate the variety of produce available across the Western Isles.
“Donating fish to the community BBQ is a great way for people to enjoy and perhaps discover different ways to enjoy our fantastic, fresh product,” she continued.
“We’re glad to say the event enjoyed another successful year and we would look forward to taking in part in local events and continuing with our support across the region.”
