The power of powder

We’re very impressed with this new product, which is available in 12 shades. With ingredients including aloe vera and tea tree oil, it’s a comfortable mineral powder that helps reduce the look of blemishes, redness and pores. For such thorough coverage, we found it as light as a feather.

To mark their 20th birthday, Liz Earle has launched this new fragrance, which uses 87 per cent natural ingredients. As a celebration of the rose, it fuses this flower with a clever combination of pink pepper, carrot (yes, really), bergamot and mandarin, to create a unique scent that’s feminine, warm and comforting.

The delightful dozen

Urban Decay products tend to be marketed at younger women, but there is something more grown-up about this palette, which features 12 matte and sparkly colours for a day or night take on the classic smoky eye (we especially love the deep plum of Smoulder). All the shades are densely pigmented with great staying power and the double ended brush is super soft and efficacious.
