On Saturday, Biggar Ramblers will be up bright and early as they journey to West Linton and Mendick Hill.

The monthly Clyde Valley Crafts session takes place in Lanark YMCA from 10am to noon while at 12.30pm, A Song and a Sip and a Sandwich will be held in Lanark Memorial Hall from 12.30pm.

Fresh from their second place at the Scottish Community Drama Championships, Kirkton Players will perform Flight, Canvas, Action in Kirkton Church Hall from 4.30pm while at in Carluke Bowling Club there will be an evening dance.

Biggar Singers spring concert takes place at the town’s Gillespie Centre from 7.30pm and up in Leadhills the garden at the Scots Mining Company House will be open for the public to view on both Saturday and Sunday as part of Scotland’s Garden Scheme.

The garden is open from 2pm to 4.30pm on both days.
