A GRAND crowd from different parts of island and from different denominations joined the congregation of Kinloch Church of Scotland to celebrate the centenary of their church building on Tuesday, February 15.

The evening service marked the significant event was held one hundred years to the day from the dedication of the church building on February 15, 1911; and the present minister, Rev Iain Murdo Campbell, was joined in service by guest preacher, his immediate predecessor Rev Donald Angus Maclennan.

After the service presentations were made and a time of fellowship was enjoyed, and the booklet published to mark the centenary was available for sale.

For those who weren’t present on the evening the booklet is available in the Religious Bookshop in Stornoway and in local shops, or from the Congregational Treasurer, Donalasdair Smith, 12b Keose.
